Setting Examples

I am happy that today I am able to write my latest blog and it is further intriguing as it is 4 am in the morning that I am writing this blog. I am just back from a mad party where me and my buddies Veda, Deepti, her sister Neha, Darshan and Harsh we all danced our heart out. We are usually the "Partners in Crime". So every Saturday as a part of the pact we meet, sometime we go to a distant place like Vikramgad on road, sometime even for spa and sometime for a mad night out like today. After a long time it was evidently a fun outing that we had. However when I received a call from Veda was the time that I was supposed to write a Blog. But nevertheless before I finish today I have promised myself to not go for sleep. You know since June that I have started writing life has changed so much. I indulged in things that I thought due to lack of time and other ample reasons I would not be able to do, but yes I tried my hand in kick boxing, I started working out, I did dancing, and then travelling endlessly which kept me busy all the time. Then our pact started amongst all of us to make sure our meeting happens, as maintaining relationship does not happens on whatsapp or facebook. The old school style of meeting in person is much more effective than anything in this world, so we must not find the short-cuts through the virtual mediums but should try and take initiative to meet people in person whenever we have time.

"Motivation is great, but until you want change

everything will remain the same. You can either

thrive in misery or make a difference."-Unknown

I sometime feel that life is moving as fast as the spinning wheel. We have spent so many years of life in quest of something great to happen. Sometime the one thing that we felt if happens to us will be greatest achievement to us not necessarily prove the same. The people that we are surrounded with and we feel comfortable with may not also share the same feeling as us to be very honest. Does our "Samsara" lies with them? Or is it worth it to be with people who are faking with you, or laughing at you, or are jealous with you, or bitching about you but they only show you that you are their best friend when you are around. My question is would you like to invest your valuable time in such irrelevant situation and with people for whom you are just a source of entertainment but not as much vital as you think they are? Happiness comes in staying true to yourself. I keep asking myself every time what do I want, the answer that i get is happiness of togetherness, a family, love and belongingness. In front of these everything else is so vague. We all have little emptiness in the corner of our heart and sometime we confront that too. That emptiness always gives us feeling to leave everything and go. I sit and talk to myself for hours. Then I think going somewhere will not lead me to where I want to be it will only lead me to more questions for which I may not have the answer. If I want to live my greatness, it is here. It is a complex duty but the most important duty is to being in this world with everyone and give the love they deserve. If we really want to do something great then we must spend time with orphans, teach the illiterate to read and write, feed the one who is starving. There is so much chaos around and we always complain about others. But we cannot bring the change, the change is within us, we are the change! Hope life becomes simple with its Q & A one day that for us it is more simpler. In the Movie Singham the Cop Baji Rao Singham played by Ajay Devgan says "Meri zarooratein kam hain isliye mere zameer mein dum hain!" which means I have less need hence I carry courage in my conscience. However we the Cosmopolitan Society are deprived of such kind of life where we have less needs, Our needs are ever increasing and so is our way of looking at life, we turn to be one selfish creepy human being who only looks at their own self and how to make ourselves more happy. The world has more issues leading to politcal, economic and other factors because people in each and every field are behaving in a self centred manner, However I believe it is all a chain. Today if Government Officials are corrupted it is because we give them the liberty to be like that. If we do not others will however the chain will continue until we all decide to change. There is so much to do here why anyone needs to go anywhere else in quest of greatness. Like we do bad then eventually it comes back to us, so is great deeds it come back  to us too. We all are born for a reason but the reason is right here, hope we all find it one day!

Keeping this serious talks aside I want to express my immense happiness and pleasure that my role model has welcomed one more year of her life with smile on her face and warmth in her heart. As I mentioned earlier she is not only the role model for me but for the entire woman hood. Its a journey of her life that has set an example for the world. She is not the one who has just won the Miss Universe Pageant but also have hosted it consecutively in so many years. Not only that she kept the light of knowledge what it takes to be there within herself but she spread it too amongst all the contestant who appeared for the Pageant later. She has given us movies like Aakhen, Samay, Filhaal etc which will always remain in my heart. Not only that through Main hoon na she educated people how Saari can be a sexy wear. However nobody except her could carry Saaris with that ease. She is beautiful from the inside and the outside hence she glows like a shining star and spreads her spark everywhere. All the accolades that she won may be very less to do justice to the elegant persona that she is.

I have immense respect for her as she being a woman is so proud of her womanhood, she is also mother of two angel daughters. She has also set an example by being a single mother to her kids. They are blessed to have a mother like her and I salute her as I understand no matter irrespective of being an enormous personality she also has her own set of challenges and she lives up to it. Not only she lives up to it but she lives up to it with a smile on her face. Today I cannot thank her enough for motivating me to write and Mam I don't know if you still read me but I am writing because I believe I found my solace in writing once in a while. It is all because of you as you have given me your light too and I am enlightened. I feel blessed whenever I finish a blog post. I respect you and your greatness. You Are Great and have set an example of Greatness living among us and within us. <3

A Song I will like to dedicate to her-

P.S- My writing will be always a dedication to Former Miss. Universe and Talented Actress Sushmita Sen for her motivation. Thank you Mam for the inspiration!

The Rule Breaker

“There are darknesses in life and there are lights, and you are

one of the lights, the light of all lights.”

― Bram StokerDracula

It is a beautiful sight to see the city illuminated with lights, lightening of crackers everywhere. The city looks ecstatic. The days of festivals are very special to us as we light up our houses  and our heart is too lighted up with the spur of happiness and delight. I know of many such instances in life when people try to extinguish the light within you. Today I am a little intrigued and I feel darkness is trying to invade me, its trying to swallow me up to non-existent. It happens to me every time when i confront the darker side of the world and the people. People I thought can be positive prove that they are shallow from inside. However light we might have inside, there are people who with their darkness will try to invade you. But I want to say no to them and I still want to shine brighter then I ever did. After all Diwali is all about that a midst darkness we light the candle of hope!

The golden rule is that there are no golden rules.
George Bernard Shaw

After all, this is the time I am breaking the norms for myself that I have set so far. You can say it was due to my fear. But one by one I am doing things that I have refrained from doing. So last day I wanted some adrenaline rush. So when I went to Imagica it was unimaginable fun experience, the rides that has always scared me away and I remember of history where the people used to get me down of rides because I would cry, scream and beg desperately to put me down. I took dare to drop, nitro (roller coaster) ride and many other rides that I never expected could exist. But you know till the time I did it I thought it is scary, but once I did it I realized that I have been missing something. I drew my inspiration from ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA and I have started saying yes to myself for everything that I never tried, everything I feared. I have taken up dare game in my life.

I think our fear stops us from doing lot of things that we think cannot but trust me there is nothing we cannot do, it is all in our mind. The day we start saying yes to our selves and believe that we are strong enough to handle all the situations that we find scary life will be much more better.

I would like to apologize for not being able to write so far but I have been travelling a lot. I went during Durgapujo to my home, met my family and as per ritual met my school friends and the long lost ones too. As soon as I came back I went for an Official trip for a week commencing from Chennai to Hyderabad to Bengaluru to Guwahati to Kolkata then finally to Mumbai. Now I believe my readers and friends know why I have not been writing so far but if you believe my words I have been trying very hard since then to write my blog. So I am happy to let you know, I come today with my latest post. Honestly I am in the space today in my life when I found my calling. As I am doing things I never could one by one. Sometime back we went for a road trip to Vikramgad. I went with my colleague turned out to be my best pal Vedakshari and the group. We witnessed the sun rise and came back after sunset. We visited the seven points and the point which is at the edge of the hill top is a water fall which was 25 km away from the second last point. We were starving but we decided to go for it anyway. When we reached there we were made to belief that there is no way we could reach close to the waterfall as the way towards it to reach was steep and rocky and slippery too. But then we took a chance and the entire team took 45 minutes to reach there but the mission was accomplished finally. The feeling of achievement was out of the world and it gave us extreme rush like hitting the bulls eye.

I cannot explain in words what is the feeling of achievement that you gain every time when you do something new, something that you never tried, something that you have been always scared of. It is not the world, not our friends, not our parents, not our relatives who set the rules for us but it is only our fear. This fear is originated of course within ourselves may be somewhere it is a part of our nature or may be because of our experience. If you ask me the fear was a part of my nature always, something that was inseparable from me. Someone I cannot mention here, who taught me by making me live the hard way how to overcome my fear and how to make your worst nightmare your best friend. As much I can complain about that person but today if I look at myself and the person I have become I cant stop thanking. Life is interesting and challenging only when you are ready to take up those with your head held high and a mind that is rock solid enough than your body is! My question is are you ready for the challenges that destiny throws at you?

"We all make choices, but in the end our choices make us."

Perception is Reality

Nirbhignam Kurumedaya Sarva Karyashu Sarvada |

Wish all my readers and friends Very Happy Ganesh Chaturthi. Hope Ganesha showers his blessing on your and your loved ones lives and fill it with immense happiness, and offers you love and light in abundance. Work and engagement in several activities has been always a part of my life and by now my readers know it quite well. As I sit down to write this blog my mind is juggling with the thoughts but I know I had to write so here I come to write again. Now it does not concern me anymore if I am being read or not. As I know I have my dedicated readers who look forward to read me, I write for them and I write for myself now as I love to write. It has turned into my passion now. Something that I love to do..I thank everyone who find out time to read me from across the world. It does matter a lot to me when I receive those messages that is how they look forward to read me. And let me tell you I write for you and for me. :-)

It has been a week of exposing myself to the nature, yes work has been always a part of it but I am fortunate to find out that little time to see what not seeing would have made my life so incomplete. It is called "God's Own Country"..My readers know which place I am talking about :-) Don't you?

It 'tweren't for sight and sound and smell,
I'd like the city pretty well,
But when it comes to getting rest,
I like the country lots the best.

Sometimes it seems to me I must
Just quit the city's din and dust,
And get out where the sky is blue,
And say, now, how does it seem to you?

Far from the Madding Crowd- By Nixon Waterman

Yes! The beautiful land where nature is at its best form. It is itself. What it is meant to be. The open sky ...trees and vegetation all around...the lake.. in Kochi. :-) Calmness and serenity that you would be bound to believe your peace lies right there. I felt that on every step i took a power that is invisible but do exist was offering me a divine cleansing and attracting me towards serenity and my own quest for myself. For I felt I never want to leave this place and stay right there. I am a kind of person who has lot to do within very less span of time. But yes our Business Associate over there Mr. Hafeez did all the justice to it and I got a justified time to work as well as have my share of experience in the beautiful land which is rightly termed as "God's own Country"- Kochi. Also without any inhibitions I tasted the delicacy not bothered about my diet and my weight for once. :-)

Possibly why everywhere we do not see the best form of nature and we need to take our time off to unwind and relax is because the fast life, the mad traffic, meetings, conferences, late working all that we do is for our career. But we need time off sometime to talk to our inner selves, our needs, question ourselves and find answers, we need peace and calmness. As that is beauty, to confront the beauty in ourselves we rest ourselves into the lap of nature we escape in it. There is where beauty meets beauty and we get back to our happy self to again get back to our usual work life and enhance our performance as we find answers to questions we often ask ourselves.

If you want to look beautiful the theory behind it clearly supports the idea of being the best version of yourself. We all go through a stage in life where we feel demotivated, discouraged and feel we are complete let down. But the truth is we all are beautiful and we all have something that others would die to have.In this world we are there for a reason and that reason is best known by God. Karma is all we have so why not make best of it. We must all know that nature is at its best when it is being allowed to what it really is and so are we. Our beauty comes out when we are at our best. Do what you love and your best version will automatically come out, do not allow any external energy to affect you for you are as special as others. There is no one like you, there is no one like me, we all are unique in our way. When you respect yourself for what you are you will find respect and acceptance in the surroundings too! Keep yourself going. Never stop and Never give up and never forget You are beautiful!

A song by Selena Gomez.."Who says?" It is one of my favorite which pledges you to know you are beautiful and perfect. Hope you like it! :-)

ORIS Swiss which is known for the high end technology it utilizes in its watch has for the very first time associated in the history with a film and the film is Grand Masti in India. It is due for release. It is a sequel of Masti and the ones who could not sit intact in your place while watching it and laughed your heart out must go for the second round too as I am sure it is going to be filled up with similar kind of fun having the same trio Rietesh Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani and Vivek Oberoi is just a cherry on top! All the best Grand Masti team! Here is a small glimpse of the event for you..

A Talk about You & Me - Its about Us

“She always camouflaged herself as a crowd. I've never been lonely, she said, but sometimes it's hard to think above the noise.”
― Brian Andreas

Hi Friends & Readers! As I start writing this blog my mind is cluttered. Lately one of my good friend told me  there are stories every where when you notice. However although I know it well, but nothing intrigued me enough to write on it. Until last day when I went to a salon for a spa session on my hair and the helpers were on lunch break so I decided to grab a coffee in Gloria Jeans Coffee Shop. It is located at Turner Road, Bandra.  I was sitting outside area with my mug, I see there a very little baby boy hardly 1 - 2 years old or possibly malnourished was moving around and was begging for money...he had a running nose and with his gesture he showed how hungry he is. There were 2-3 gentlemen who he followed around the lane and was fretting for money while couple of them kind of ignored him, one of them went ahead and promised to get him money once he is back from ATM. But as he turned back he saw me sitting there and observing him. A kid's innocence never remains unnoticed irrespective of culture, background classes and other irrelevant things that the society boasts of and is believed to be divided in various social parameters. The essence of purity and innocence is always a kid and I could not ignore myself from the very fact. I just could not take my eyes off that little boy who kept running around asking for money to buy himself some food. In Mumbai these kids are every where in almost all the traffic signals and are believed to be a part of a racket. SO most of the time people refrain from helping them as they are believed to not being able to use the money and also been tortured. But when he came to me I was completely glued to his innocence and the way he was asking me for money. So I took out 10 bucks and gave it to him. He jumped right in front of me out of joy and then cheerfully ran a little ahead of me. On the other side of the road was his entire family. They are ideally from Rajasthan could say with the kind of clothes and the "Abhushan" they were wearing. Not very expensive but clearly reflects the cultural heritage They were also selling junk and antique inexpensive jewelry on the other side of the road. I realized to live in the City of Mumbai everything that they do is work for them whether it is selling of jewellery or begging. The child was so excited with his earning that he flaunted that 10 rupee note to his family from the other side of the road and was dancing in joy. I felt glad and blessed that I made that poor kid happy. As for him it was his first earning at a tender age.

Then another baby boy arrives in the car in his granny's lap and his Mom driving the car. His Mom got down to get something. he was sitting at the window with glory on his Granny's lap. Suddenly we had a eye contact and he started waving me, I waved him. Then he got excited and started jumping and pointed his finger towards me to show his granny. As his Granny saw me she opened the window. He kept waving me and couldnt stop laughing in joy, I was kind of surprised with his gesture but he was so very cute that I also kept smiling at him and waving. Then before I could get down to get closer to him his Mom came back and started the car. To my sheer surprise he even gave me flying kisses. Although that time he was a baby boy for me, as he left the only thing that came to my mind is "Boys will always be Boys" and I kept laughing in my mind. But then suddenly that comparison came into my mind of the poor boy and the rich one and I felt that both of them are happy and at peace in their life as their needs are there with them which is their parents. They do not have understanding of money or classes but they just understand their needs are met and that is all they want, and sometimes it is little things like their father's protective hand and their mother calling out their name and cuddling and pampering them that matters and makes them feel protected and loved. While the richie rich is allowed to enjoy his childhood at the tender age this little boy is taught the art of begging which possibly can be the only greatest difference I could think of. While thinking about all this I can only thank God for what I have for I dont know what is the best life but I have a life in which I am doing what I ever wanted to do. '

When I see Abir I feel he is so blessed too. He is protected by 3 female in his family and all the needs that he has is also met by all of us collectively as we always feel he has been deprived of the fatherly affection so we kind of double our affection to not let him feel the absence of it. He claims to love only 3 female in his life and he hates all the other females if we believe his words however I wonder why he hates such a wonderful specie like woman when he has been never taught the same. :-) However when he came to Mumbai this time, with my good friend Yogesh's help he went to get a friendship band done and he wrote his good name which is Shoham and my nickname which is Jini and it is so touching as he did it of his own and surprised me. My readers and friends you wouldn't believe but he is all the time wearing it day and night. It is really touching to be so loved by this little boy. I feel we always have grievances and sadness but honestly in our life there is so much to be thankful for. I could be thankful of the work and the way it keeps me busy and on the go every time so much so that I search for time to write my blog these days, then my kick boxing and work out. I feel so passionate when I run and I never do want to give up for it gives me so much pleasure and happiness and makes me feel so powerful, I feel positive and so much in action and highly charged. When I have time I read or watch the movie collection that I have. Thanks to my friend Tanush and Dimi who has given me this huge collection which always keeps me involved and never let me feel I have nothing to do. Then I read, I have so many half read and untouched book which I am aiming to read even one page everyday when I have a little time. I am not empty of options, moreover discovering myself at every passing moment, God makes me feel I have so much in me and in my life. There is so much to be thankful for. Seriously not everybody has this life. So Count your blessings my readers and friends than only gazing on your sadness, failures or disappointment. There is so much in you, that you are yet to discover. You are never Alone!

I am coming to something extremely sad and heart breaking now. A 23 year old girl got raped in the most posh area of Mumbai in South Mumbai, Lower Parel. The place is Shakti Mills Compound where she being a photo journalist goes for a shoot of her magazine's anniversary issue. The offenders influenced her and her colleague saying they will help while the boy with her was tied up few feet away from the place,  this girl raped by 5 men continuously if the news source are to be believed. Mumbai was considered to be the safest place. I can remember of days when I would finish my official events and return home really late. I was never scared as I have always felt safe and secured in the city. This news has shook me inside deeply. Where is the humanity gone of such people for whom women are just a commodity of pleasure. Men really need to know few things I do not know if they know and if they don't then they should consult a doctor..

#FOR THE OH SO COOL DUDE MEN!

1. If you are interested in a girl not necessarily she has to be interested in you just because you think you are perfectly cool

2. Not everybody wants the same thing as some men feel like. SO KINDLY STOP PURSUING IF SHE TOLD YOU CLEARLY "I AM NOT INTERESTED!"

3. A girl has to decide if she wants you to let her touch, you are not the one to decide. So please make your move carefully or get ready to be slapped.

4. If a girl is drunk she isn't available and it isn't cool to take advantage but prove you are a true friend and show her some respect by dropping her back home safely.

I have seen lot of men having stereotypical point of view so this is a must read for all of those to tell you its high time to change your typical point of view. If you still do not change your view and is still willing to go overboard and to any extent then I believe hanging you in public is the best option!! YOU SHOULD DIE!

#FOR ALL THE GIRLS!

You know I have posted this before but again who are my readers know that there are some simple and easy steps to defend yourself from all threats and please do read it and do what you feel is necessary and easy for you at such point

Tips for Self Defense for all women against Sexual Violence:

1. Never be unaware of the situation around you. Do not be deeply involved in your mobile that you don't know whats happening around.

2. Don't be afraid to make a scene and fight back if they make a move. Bite, scratch, kick, tear, pull, twist, stab with anything on hand. Make it very hard for them to cleanly get away with you. Keep Police numbers handy.

3. Even if predators do not target women in provocative clothing, Walk with confidence & awareness.

4. Never walk alone in an unfamiliar place. If a sexual predator has you targeted and there's no one to stop it, it will be hard to get away safe.

4. Always keep your cellphone with you. Make sure it is fully charged so you don't have to experience the misfortune of being in a bad situation and your phone is dead.

5. If you feel like you're being followed, fake a phone call. Say something like "Hey dad, I'm at the curb, I'll be there in just a second." Be loud so they will know that if you aren't there in a second, then they know something will be wrong and will be following them or calling the police quickly.

6. If someone is making you uncomfortable, such as touching you when they just meet, following you, doing things without your consent, get into a group of people or you can go up to another woman who is alone, start conversation and tell her what's going on. She'll probably be happy to stay with you and walk with you. The more the merrier.

8. Never drink when it is offered to you by a stranger or someone whom you do not know well enough

9. If you feel a taxi driver or rickshaw driver is taking you through a unknown route. Stop in a public place, take guidance if you do not know the place well and change your route.

10. Do not board a local train which is not guarded by a police.

11. When travelling nationally ask the TE to change your seat if you find it uncomfortable.

12. Save numbers of family members or trust worthy friends as short cuts in A part of your phone book list like A Saumya A Deepak etc.

With this particular event my very good friend has raised a point where he says that sending a woman in a place like that with just one male companion is not safe. Company sending a female for such assignment has also shown a irresponsible attitude towards their employee. I would say in this Country everywhere a female is in secured and lives life in fear as she don't know if she is the next prey. Leave the Organization the Government's measure towards protection of woman's dignity is also shameful. So woman you are anyway quite strong. It is only you who has to say it to yourself. Please learn some self defense techniques if possible. We are strong enough to defend ourselves. It is only our belief that makes us who we are. If the Men who are supposed to protect their country women becomes the predator, it is you who have to fight back and stand for yourself. DO carry few things in your bag that can possibly help you escape the situation.  Woman you are strong! lets do our bit every time we can for ourselves. It is all about us! it is all about womanhood!

They come from north, south, east and west
They are marching throughout this land
It's something that women call Sisterhood
That's beginning to take a stand.

They are women from every race and creed
They are women from all walks of life
They are beginning to realize who they are
Besides a mother, a lover, or wife.

They are waking up with a mighty voice
Against things that some go through
Be it abuse, shame, or just the 'game'
They are shouting they are through!

They're taking a stand against violence
Against discrimination everywhere
They've found the 'system' may fail them
And society may no longer care.

NEVER GIVE UP- KEEP RUNNING

"Everyone falls down only the best get back up!"

   Determination @ironguts (Twitter)

Hi friends and readers! Hope all is going well with you! While life has been quite eventful at my end I am here to share some experiences with you! 2 weeks back I have traveled to Chennai for an event of the brand I am associated with. It was not only a trip for an event but also I got to meet new people, became pally with one of our associates in Chennai. His name is Rajesh and we immediately bonded as we met. What intrigued me is he is a Gujrati living in Chennai. I find such combinations very rarely, we had long chats and he told me about his wife and son and how he is so attached to them. It was lovely knowing about people and then you end up taking back some learning from them. I learn from everyone. As I went to Hyderabad from Chennai I got to know a lot about the South market for luxury watches. The only brand that has highest recall over there is Rado and Rolex. However allthough other luxury brands also have their presence prominently but nothing like this 2 brands. If you are a fan of luxury watches I have some recommendation from my understanding. It depends on your choice that what drives you to buy an expensive timepiece, it is brand or the technology. If just a brand then we all know what to buy and shell out huge money out of our pockets. But if you are looking for brand and technology, not because I work with the brand but in this period I have also learnt the brand and product credential. I will surely recommend ORIS. ORIS is a affordable luxury watch and is built on the foundation of 4 families- CULTURE, AVIATION, MOTORSPORT, DIVING. CULTURE watches are dedicated to musicians and we have also limited edition created as a tribute to eminent musician like Bob Dylan and Chet Baker etc. AVIATION watches are built with the technology suitable for Professional Fliers with the features that suit their requirement, MOTORSPORT collections are meant for people who believe in speed and are in love with automobile sports and diving is for the DIVERS. We have Aquis Depth Gauge which is a creation of Oris Group and is not available with any other brand, it is created implementing on theory of the Boyle's law, meant for professional divers. Watches are stylish, and are available from the price point of Rs.59,000 onwards. If you want to know more about the brand visit the website www.oris.ch.

So apart from my work as you know I do lot of other engaging stuff, so just to let you know I have started taking the training of kick boxing. As I have been always mentally quite strong but physical strength is also a ability that we need to build up for ourselves. When my trainer Rocky would cheer me by saying "Go girl! You are doing great." "Strong girl! There you go!" I cant explain how powerful I feel inside. He has been extremely encouraging and even told me he has never found someone as good as me at the first go. It boosted my confidence level even more. Most of all we all have anger and we need to let it out somewhere. Suppression isn't good. For me when I walk out of "INTENSITY" I come out with peace as the punching bag takes it all out from me and I let the Monster out for a while. Monster within me was angry not only with people but also with me because I have never let it get out. But I am glad that I am letting my anger out at the right place as if I nurture it within myself the end result could be quite threatening. So here it goes I want to strengthen myself as much as I can. I did not let my artistic end slow down. I am practicing a dance form which I will let you know in due course and also did couple of song writing for Tam Steez who creates MixTape and she seems to have liked my song. So yes I am occupied with handful of things and also trying to give my best to each one of them. As I know my capability the only thing which was left is to take the leap of faith. Which I have taken already now.

HARDWORK WILLPOWER & DEDICATION

"A winner is someone who recognizes God's given talents, develops
that talent into skill, and uses the skill to reach their ultimate goal."- Unknown

Yesterday night I went with my very old friend for a movie "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag". I have always loved movies based on sports which are so awe inspiring. But nothing like Bhaag Milkha Bhaag! What a movie! What an actor Farhan Akhtar is! He proved in this film that he is one of the best in the industry. I felt very close to the character of Milkha Singh. He lost his entire family during the partition of India and Pakistan and he saw his own father getting killed and rest of the family floating in the stream of blood. I saw my entire family shattered and scattered in pieces when my Dad lost his life in an unfortunate incident. We got to know the news just a day before my High School examination. It was not in our region so till the identification of my father's body was done we all were impatiently expecting it not to be him by any chance. After waiting all day long at 10pm at night I got the news first that the identification of him is being done and we need to receive his body from there. Then I had to give the news to my mother and my sister and stand strongly to get the procedures done. After all night pathetic spending next day was my exam, unprepared me unwilling for  anything at all thinking I lost the Man who mattered the most to me and all I could do is sob thinking of my Dad a great person like him received so much respect from everyone till he was alive had to go through so much pain wondering why? Must have been thinking in his last moments about me, about my mother, about his unfinished duties, he so much must have wanted to live!Next day I did not want to go for exam but one of my Dad's friend pursued and suggested me to go for exam anyhow. I had 6 papers, 2 of them in a day, duration 3 hrs for each during the same week and I passed in all of them with good marks, while I also had to be a part of my Dad's funeral right after one paper and then go for the next after attending itin the same day and then the last 2 paper during my father's "shraadh".  For I have never known to give up, even in this tragic hour of the sudden painful loss of my Dad. I still promised myself to survive, so I kept going and working hard. I wanted to be like my Dad, hardworking and independent hence from a very tender age I started working and earning my own living. I never waited for somebody to take care of me although financially we were a stable family. I can only say difficulties and hardships can  make you stronger so it did to Milkha Singh, so it did to me. He fought his battle alone and so am I doing, but I always stood tall. My difficulties and hardships had only made me stronger. There are time when i  break down, and keep sobbing and fighting with God for hours. But like Milkha Singh's coach was his God for me God is my coach. He gave me difficulties to only make me stronger, He gave me those pain in life which I never wanted and never wanted to face it when I have no one around me to hold me when I am falling apart but the pain came to me anyway. I had no choice but to stand tall and face it. He made me stronger. Until I did not understand his idea of doing that. On those dark days every Morning God will stand in front of me like a Coach, as soon as I open my eyes, the first thing he does is reminds me of my current condition and he provides me the weapon to fight which is only FAITH, HARDWORK, WILLPOWER & DEDICATION. Life has lot of similarity with sports. It is like a game, we fall down, we lose, but we also show the sportsman spirit to get up and fight the next battle. The journey of Milkha Singh is all about Myself and also my fights, I know my Fights and hence I respect Fighters. So always know you are not the only one in pain, have faith in God. He will never give you pain that you are incapable of taking. When you are hurt think it is a practice to just make yourself stronger and Yes God is your Coach! I feel i am his favorite Warrior and hence He works hard in making me stronger. So remember to not stop Always Keep RUNNING!

I would also like to add if Farhan Akhtar does not win awards this year for Best Actor category then I believe its futile to watch any Award Show anymore!

NEVER GIVE UP! #Ironguts #Power

P.S- My writing will be always a dedication to Former Miss. Universe and Talented Actress Sushmita Sen for her motivation. Thank you Mam for the inspiration!

The Fight Within Us- The Monster & The God

"A scar on our soul
Never to be seen
A light in the tunnel
Please return to me

And when we meet
After the dark
You'll be there
To complete my heart"

I start my blog today with prayers and condolence for the family of the people who lost their lives in Uttarakhand flood. I saw a video of how people unknowingly went to the arms of death. It deeply shattered me inside. I deeply feel for the loss and I am in pain, this is all I can say. All my Mumbai Indians, Please be careful this weekend, I got a high alert message of chances of some mishap to happen again. We all need to be together as our strength lies together. Lets fight against it. Protect our near and dear ones.

Now I hope you all had a great week? I am back with my newest thoughts, newest observation and I am all set to share it with you. :-) Before I start I would like to say that I had a great time practicing karaoke each day. My friend Dimi has been my mentor all this while. Till the time I actually started doing it I did not realize that just having a good voice does not help, while you are trying to achieve something all kind of hurdles are going to show up and you have to be ready to fight it out. I practice till 2:30 am at night everyday, I did get throat problem, I gave up on all the chilled drinks I couldn't do without and I had to do it because I promised all of you I will come back with my karaoke performance very soon. While I got better I am still to get at my best which I am positive I will achieve and very soon :-) . These days while listening to lot of music I have been hooked on to one song of Christina Aguilera's "Bound to love". The song is a masterpiece but even more the masterpiece is Christina's voice. There are so many excellent and talented pop singers but the texture of her voice is blended with magnificence and divinity. Everybody is born with a gift of God, some realizes and some do not and she is the one to be gifted with a marvelous voice. I am glad that she utilized it and shared her gift with the world. Her songs are inspired from her experiences of childhood, public scrutiny and she talks about female empowerment.

As an individual we all are emotional, bound to fight our own battles. Let me tell you, no one is weak, no one is fragile but we all are afraid to be hurt. Hurt do make us go through emotional turmoils which may break us from inside and that is what we are afraid of and want to avoid most of the time.Sometime we build walls around us and don't let people get inside it, that wall become our shelter, it protects us. We all have our own way to deal with it. But the people who trust easily are also fighters but the only thing is the frequency of being hurt is greater than usual and therefore it makes them fearful. Sometime just being afraid of the hurt that they are most prone to receive they tell people that they are fragile and sensitive. But the fact is the one who intends to hurt you will hurt you anyway so take time to trust people and know that you are strong. Your emotions are not your draw back but your strength and should be revealed to right people. People who are truly proud to have you in their life, and gives you back what they receive from you. Give time to people and yourself, don't judge anyone, don't hate anyone, be at the best of yourself always, take time to care, be kind but don't lose grip on your emotions. Don't give too much of yourself that when it is time to put yourself together back again you have a tough time.

Last day after work I came back home with my friend Shruti, she is a work associate of mine. She is a smart Delhiite, a former Miss.India, extremely pretty and a tough girl. Upfront and lives life to the fullest. While on our way back home we planned to grab a bite somewhere. So we went to Hometown Cafe in Bandra. I have a problem that sometime I go to my shell. In that period I hardly talk and always consumed in my thoughts. She has been noticing it for a while that I am aloof and then finally she confronted me because it was bothering her. While I was being distant I did not realize how she felt so I apologized to her and explained her it is my way to deal with my thoughts, since I am a thinker, I have a little different and weird nature and I know it is extremely difficult to understand me at times. However we finally had a great time and she being a Budhhist it is a protocol for her to go for chanting and share her experiences with people and motivate them to fight their battle, and this is what she is going to spend her weekend on. So I wish her all the very best for that!  A midst various discussion I stated her that it is important that we trust our own self and God, so her question was to me God and Devil both are within us so how do we make out who is talking inside us and whom we are trusting and whom not? Intrigued by her question I asked her back too that what is the role that Devil plays inside us. She told me Devil is the one who stops us to go for our work out and make us crave for a junk food, Devil is the one who will not let you focus when you want to study and you have exam, precisely Devil is the one who bounds us by chain and we end up being a Devil's workshop at the end wanting to do nothing and end up being good for nothing person with low self-esteem to ourselves. And the one who pushes us beyond our boundary, which gives us the strength to say no to the Devil and go for the work out  is God and the power of positivism within us and when we listen to him we listen to God.There is a constant fight of Devil and God happening inside us, it is us to decide who wins. But whatever we choose we have to also realize....

"If you do the work you get rewarded.
There are no shortcuts in life. "- Michael Jordan

(Shortcuts are devil!)

Intrigued further with this discussion I shared my thought with her and now I am writing to share all about it with you. Some people believe that the one who listen to God is following the path of purity and truth and there are some who believe that monstrous action can only lead to victory. The key to be monstrous is being selfish, self centered, ruthless which they believe will take them to the path of "Greatness". There are two faces of negative and powerful beasts in us, one is devilish which will stop us from achieving and the other will lead us to a wrong path for what we want to achieve. Similarly God too, one is calm and level headed but tactful like Lord Vishnu and the other is a warrior, a fighter, Lord Shiva. All these characters are representation of a human personality. We all have them and we all choose to nurture and blend what we want to create in us. It is what we choose will make us what we want to be. We can rob , kill and execute series of bomb blasts or play with people's emotion, cheat them and become a Dawood Ibrahim or a Osama Bin Laden. No doubt by being them we can become the richest and the most monstrously powerful people in  this world and keep escaping from the reality of our own self and keep hiding for our entire life. Or we can choose to be someone like Dr. Bernard Reux the protagonist character of Albert Camus's book "The Plague". A doctor who found solidarity in trying to help, rescue and treat the people of Oran, an Algerian City to fight the cholera epidemic wide spread that killed a large number of population in 1849 post French colonization.Who knew someone like Abraham Lincoln who was born in an ordinary family would one day through his determination and knowledge serve as a President of United States and would be responsible for handling the constitutional and moral crisis during American Civil War and abolish slavery.

This is a song of Madonna "You are Frozen". It says keep your heart open. At the end if we give what others have given to us we let the monster win within us which is not letting love or the Power of God win. I love the song and hence sharing with you. Hope you enjoy. :-)

All we need is compassion! Greatness starts from feeling other's pain and working towards trying to heal it. In that process when our own gets healed we do not even realize and the feeling of achievement empowers us. When I write I share what I learnt, observed and I felt. May be some readers out there would be gaining something out of it , that is my objective and in process of my writing I am engrossed in it and lost in my world. My whole objective to write this blog is to acquaint you to your light (God) and dark (monster). It is our choice whom we feed, the one we feed becomes stronger in us and make us meet our destiny.

"One individual may die for an idea; but that idea will, after his death, incarnate itself in a thousand lives. That is how the wheel of evolution moves on and the ideas and dreams of one nation are bequeathed to the next."

-Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose

Our great patriots are still remembered for their sacrifices. My personal favorite is Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, Jatindra Nath Mukherjee (Revolutionary Philosopher), Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay (Patriotic writer). They all contributed in their own way and are still remembered for their struggle for freedom. All they wanted us to do is find peace and love in our Country and live a honorable life. But the question is are we in peace? They fought with the demons who molested the dignity of our Country and now we are too busy in just deciding whom to listen and whom to fight for within us! What an irony of life!!

This is a song of another amazing singer Whitney Houston. I hope we all get inspired listening to it. :-)

P.S- My writings will always be a dedication to Ms. Sushmita Sen Mam, Former Ms. Universe and a talented actress. Thank you for all the inspiration you gave me to continue writing.
